If scientists want to make my life easier by creating a diet pill, then I say god's speed, Mr Scientist...

Some people say it's cheating, that it will just lead to more problems than it will solve, but I'm more optimistic.  If science wants to give us a pill that means we don't have to do exercise or watch what we eat anymore, then who am I to question science!

You can read about it here in my latest Sprocketink.com article [link]

  3. That's how I want knowledge, too. Like, I want to learn new languages, but I don't want to put the effort in, I just want to have the information and know-how immediately downloaded into my brain like "The Matrix." So yeah. I'm on board. Besides, hair dye and make up are technically cheating too, but no one really complains about that (much).

    1. Good point! I'm going to use the hair dye arguement if anyone questions my motives.

  4. If this pill will take away my jelly belly, I'm all for it. It's not cheating because it's not a competition or a game. There are no rules to begin with.

  5. If it reduces the chances of getting all of the fat related diseases then surely it is a good thing. Think of all the money that would be saved by not treating these.

  7. Some of my family members have benefited from weight watchers and exercise combined. I'd say why put chemicals in your body if not needed. I guess though some of us do need them for fast results but in the long run, a healthy life style should help:0

  8. I say bring it on, as well....if they can work out the negative side effects. The idea of a "fat burner" without risk appeals to me BUT... Remember Phen fen.

I was reading an article about the two latest drugs Belviq and Qsymia and both have some serious possible side effects. I guess death (due to heart attacks) is one way not to gain weight.

  9. Sure, why not. What harm can it do? As I always say, "Exercise, eat right, don't smoke, don't drink, don't run with scissors, mind your mama....die anyway."

    1. Yep, that's true. As they say, being healthy won't make you live longer, it'll just feel that way.

  10. Awesome article! I think when it comes down to it, the right answer is whatever is right for each individual.

    1. True. Personally I'd be all over it if it was offered, but then I'm pretty much a lazy person who likes chocolate ;D
